From Vision to Velocity: What We Learned on the Road

It’s been a whirlwind since our last update in January. Back then, we were soaking up the energy of NYC and talking about the power of connection. Since then? Those connections have turned into some major "Aha!" moments that have completely sharpened our focus for 2026.

We’ve officially decided how we’re attacking this year, and the word of the month is: Prototyping.

The East Coast Sprint

To build something great, you have to know your materials. So, we went straight to the source. We hit Texworld in NYC to see the latest in textile innovation, and just forty-eight hours later, we were on the ground in Orlando for the Functional Fabric Fair.

Yes, the travel was a gauntlet, but the payoff was worth every mile. We didn't just look at swatches; we sat in on sessions with industry experts covering everything from the Design Language of 2026 to the complexities of fit.

The "Comfort" Conundrum

One of our biggest takeaways? Comfort is surprisingly complicated. We learned that "comfort" is one of the most subjective metrics in design. Everyone understands it differently and explains it uniquely. Cracking the code on how to translate that subjective feeling into a physical product is a challenge we’re now obsessed with solving.

Back to Base: Portland

Now, we’re back home in Portland and the real work begins. We’re officially moving into the prototyping phase. We know this part of the journey is going to be a climb, but we’re heading into it with:

  • Fresh Insights from the world's leading textile experts.

  • A Solid Plan for how we want our brand to show up this year.

  • An Incredible Community of supportive people who have our backs.

The next few months are going to be a masterclass in trial, error, and evolution. We’re nervous, we’re excited, and we’re ready to get our hands dirty.

Stay tuned! It’s about to get real.
